Brett Julian
My name is Brett Julian, and I was blessed with my traditional name, Iyoth, last spring. I am Stó:lō from the Skwah First Nation and have been living with my wife, Erin Kelly, on Soowahlie First Nation for the past 25 years. I have two stepchildren, whom I consider my own, and four beautiful grandchildren.
I have been working as a rebar placer for the past 20 years, contributing to the construction of numerous high-rises and parkades. I have served as a foreman for 15 years and as a field superintendent for the past 2 years. I am confident in my skills and have earned a strong reputation for my work ethic and expertise in this trade. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with other Aboriginals, empowering them to succeed in this field as I have. My vision for this company is to create a safe work environment and provide employment opportunities for as many Aboriginal people as possible. Ultimately, my goal is to establish a successful, Aboriginal family-owned company that will thrive for years to come and secure my family’s future.
